In reply to Grace's comment - Lit here is more or less like the lit we do in singapore. it's also about themes, techniques and all that. I think lit is more or less the same everywhere. Of course now it's harder than what we used to do, the way the questions are phrased and what they're asking (or rather, what they're REALLY asking for) and also we have to write a 1600 words essay on the question.

We do learn about philosophical stuff, but its under another subject called HOI (history of ideas). Like we learn about truth, the mediaval age, the enlightenment, and stuff like 'what makes us human' , 'how do we find truth' and we learn about people like socrates, augustus and all the roman and greek ancient people. Haha (: it's much more than what i listed though, but cos i dont attend hoi lectures so i dont know also. HAHAHHA.
